Diane M. Lost 46 Pounds

“The losing weight seems so easy and fast and it was so motivating because I keep going down sizes and I could go shopping for new clothes and that was fun. People from work would notice and said, “Wow, you’re losing weight!” So that motivated me to keep with it.

In the maintenance phase you can learn how to start adding in some food that maybe you excluded in the beginning of the diet part and learning how that affects your body and continuing exercise. You have to watch what you eat. I like to exercise now.

You could probably go to other diet doctors, but Dr. Katsura is so non-judgmental, and so helpful and I really feel that he genuinely wants to help each and every patient. And when I have a particular problem, I would call him or talk to him. He always has some kind of advice to give me. He recommends some exercises or exercise program for me that seems to work and get me back on track.”

Diane has stayed with dietMD Hawaii for over three years and kept the weight off. In fact, she’s lost more. She’s on the maintainance phase.

Diane Had Been Overweight for 15 Years…

“I saw the advertisement of dietMD Hawaii in Midweek magazine and I wondered, gee, would this work for me? The pictures really look convincing! I was really looking for a program because I have been overweight for roughly about 15 years. I have been investigating other surgical procedures but I’m glad I didn’t do it.”

And Had Health Issues With Diabetes and Her Knees

“Prior the program, I was concerned with several health issues because of my being overweight. One of them was diabetes. My doctor wanted to put me under medication but I did not want to and just told him that I will try to lose weight first.

It also came to me that as people grow older, they may have to go through some knee procedures and they may be a little difficult to help if they are overweight and heavy. I thought, if that thing happens to me and I needed help, it would be a lot easier for my family if I am not overweight.”

She Realized Medical Weight Loss Was Less Invasive Than Surgery

“At first, I thought, I’d just give the program a try since it’s less invasive as surgical methods and see if it works.

When I started on the program, I was excited and felt a little bit nervous. Initially, I went to see Dr. Katsura once a week. But when I started losing weight, I requested that my appointments be spread out so I could have more time in between. That time also, I was traveling out of the country so there were times I had to stop. I also could not exercise like I would normally do at home. It’s only when I came back that I continued on the program and started seeing wonderful results.”

Losing Weight With dietMD Hawaii Was Fast and Easy

“For me, losing weight with Diet MD program was fast and easy and that is what I like about it. It kept me motivated to continue on with it. I tried to lose weight before this one and had some minor successes, but it wasn’t really fast enough. The difference with this program as compared to the ones I’ve tried before was the diet and the change in lifestyle.

One thing that I like about this program is the accountability side of it. You are less likely to cheat if you know that your doctor is going to weigh you from time to time and check how you are progressing. Also, Dr. Katsura customizes plans for his clients according to their health concerns.”

People Noticed Diane’s Weight Loss

“You’d definitely lose weight on this program and people would see and notice it. At work, people would say to me “what are you doing? You lost weight!” My brothers said, “what happened to you?” And comments like that was very reinforcing. I started with the Diet MD program on April 15th 2013 and since then, I already lost 48 pounds (as of 2014) and I can now cross my legs! I feel more confident and more out-going. I enjoy shopping now!”

She’s Happy to Refer Others

“Because of the success I had with this program, I have already told 5 people about Dr. Katsura and they all have seen my weight loss. It’s such a wonderful feeling knowing that I was part of their journey to health.”

Thanks, Dr Katsura!

“Thank you so much, Dr. Katsura, for putting up with the ups and downs of my weight loss and and being so patient and so non-judgmental. It’s really been, I think, an easy process. I think the harder part might be the maintenance part of it for me. But I know that with your help, that I’ll be able to do it. Thank you.”

New Comments in 2015 After 3 Years With dietMD Hawaii:

“I started 2013 on tax day April 15th, so it’s over three years now.

In the maintenance phase, you can learn how to start adding in some food that maybe you excluded in the beginning of the diet part and learning how that affects your body and continuing exercise.

The losing weight seems so easy and fast so it came off really fast and it was so motivating because I keep going down sizes and I could go shopping for new clothes and that was fun. People from work would notice and said, “Wow, you’re losing weight!”, so that motivated me to keep with it. But once that passed and everyone knows I’ve lost weight and I’m on particular size, I have to focus and concentrate on maintaining.

You have to put some effort into it. You have to watch what you eat. I like to exercise now. I try something fun too. My friend and I thought that it would be very great to go and learn how to go canoe paddling. I will never want to do this when I was heavy. I am just too embarrassed to even fit into a canoe and all of that but we had a great time.”

Diane Recommends Dr. Katsura

Well, you could probably go to other diet doctors and there are different other people out there now but he is so non-judgmental and so helpful and I really feel that he genuinely wants to help each and every patient. When I have a particular problem, I would call him or talk to him during the visit and he always have some kind of advises to give me. Maybe, I would have a plateau, and I would say I‘m kind of stuck and what can I do but he recommends some different exercises or exercise program for me that seem to work and get me back on track.
